The movie download is not starting?
If the movie download does not start even after 5 seconds, then we request you to wait for 2 minutes as sometimes the servers are taking a little bit of more time to start the download due to the heavy load on Gingle. If you are still not able to start your download, then you need to right click the "direct link" or the "retry again" link (on the page where the 5 second timer runs) and select "Save Link As...".

Just follow this process, and you will have working subtitles for the two parts:

Note: If your subtitle files are not working in sync with the spoken words, then you can do Tools menu->'Track Synchronization' in VLC and try adjusting the 'Advance of subtitles over video' option to a positive or negative value depending on the shift or correction in seconds you require to match the written words to the spoken words.

Why am I not able to watch the movie online?
To play a movie on your computer, your computer needs to have the appropriate codecs which can help your computer understand what is actually contained in the highly compressed movies on Gingle. So, you need to install the DivX codec which is included in the DivX Web Player:

For Windows: http://dist.divx.com/player/DivXWebPlayerInstaller.exe
For Mac: http://download.divx.com/player/DivXPlusWebPlayer.dmg

You will not need to install everything included in this installer. Just install the "DivX Web Player" which is necessary for playing the movies. You can do so by checking the box next to the "DivX Web Player" when installing and unchecking all other products. The windows installer of the DivX Web Player is a web based installer, that means the installer is only 970KB, but when you run the installer it will download the DivX Web Player worth 30MB. So the speed of the installation depends on the speed of your network connection. Also, the windows based DivX Player installer takes some time to start on very slow internet connections.

What is a hall print?
Hall prints are availiable of movies that are very recently released or released just in some countries. They are usually recorded by some guys sitting in a movie hall and are OK for watching but not good like DVD quality. Sometimes you can hear breathing or audio is a not of a good quality. We always recommend that you wait for a good DVD print so you can fully enjoy the movie on your laptop or PC. These are watchable and good if you can't wait to watch the movie.

We have made a page dedicated to showing you how you can download streaming video (video that plays directly in your browser) here - How to Download Streaming Movies
A link for a watch movie is showing 'This file no longer exists on our servers'
Sometimes files get removed from a video hosting service, then the page shows this message or any equivalent 'Not Found' message like a '404 Not Found'. You can do nothing in this case. You can try different links given on that watch movie page. Probably some of them might be working. We are notified of such issues automatically and remove the non-working or not-found links.
I cannot listen to the radio!
There are three ways to listen to a streaming radio on Gingle:
  • Streaming/Playing inside web browser using Windows Media Player Plugin: This requires the Windows Media Player plugin to be installed for your Firefox, Chrome, or Opera web browser. This plugin is already installed in Internet Explorer. You can get it for firefox and opera from here and for chrome from here. We recommend you to use Internet Explorer if you want a hassle free listening experience.Note for Firefox: Navigate to your firefox folder(C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox) and copy the 'Plugins' folder to 'browser' folder.
  • Streaming/Playing inside browser using Real Player Plugin: This requires the Real Player plugin to be installed for your Firefox, Chrome, or Opera web browser. If you have already installed Real Player, you dont need to do anything else. You can get this plugin for all browsers from here.
  • Using the direct link: On the radio's page, you can see a normal link near the streaming player, titled 'Direct Link'. You need to click this link. This launches any app/program installed on your computer which is capable of playing the streaming file. If you dont have any program to play the Direct Link, we suggest you download VLC Media Player for free. Then you can copy this 'Direct Link' by right clicking on 'Direct Link' and choose 'Copy Link Location'. Paste this copied link into "Media-->Open Network Stream" in VLC Media Player. The streaming radio station should start playing.

What is this High Quality version? Where are my 'Download Part 1' and 'Download Part 2' buttons?
Most of the movies on Gingle now have a high quality version for free download. This high quality version is double in size of the 'Part 1 and Part 2' version, and good for viewing on any big screen. Just press the 'Download In High Quality (HD)' button and your download will start in five seconds. If the download starts playing in your browser(that is, starts streaming) instead of downloading, right click on the 'direct link' on the page where the timer is running, and select 'save as'
